The genetic test is done from a cheek swab sample (cytobrush) taken and authentified by a vet.
A cheek swab has numerous advantages :
- Easy, quick and painless
- Reliable (used by scientific policy)
- Keeps at room temperature
Firmly brush inside of the cheek or the gums for 20 secondes in order to obtain fragments of mucous membrane tissues (cytobrushing is not saliva sampling)
