Speciality Cardiology

Description : Progressive thickening of the cardiac muscle, notably a left ventricular hypertrophy, thereby obstructing the outflow of blood. Cardiac function is impaired.

Symptoms : Cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac murmur, breathing difficulty, exercise intolerance, fatigability, vomiting, cough, anorexia. The disease can lead to a fatal outcome for the cat, sometimes sudden death can occur without symptoms.

Age of onset : The average age of onset is between 1.5 and 5 years

Examination : Echocardiography
